"A Memorable Halloween"

This is one of dozens of illustrations that I created for my coloring book (soon to be released in late July). It's a special one though, and here's why:

I specifically made this drawing because I was imagining what it would've been like to be a black youth in the 1970's and have seen "Night of the Living Dead" for the first time. While I was thinking about this, I suddenly envisioned a group of girls all crowded around a TV after a fun Halloween night of trick-or-treating. They are talking amongst themselves, and the younger brother of the middle one (clutching the pillow) comes over to heckle them but his sister shoos him away, saying "Move, Marcus! It's back on!"

In 2019 I gave a large colored version of this drawing to the amazing staff at Starlight Lounge in Eugene, OR where I have exhibited for almost 5 years now. This is the 8" x 10" giclée version of it, and is hand signed and numbered by myself.

*Giclées lasts up to 200 years, and are the best form of archival inkjet printing available in today's market. They are much brighter and richer than my iPhone photos can capture. They are best kept inside the packaging until you are ready to frame because they can be easily scratched, and should not be hung in direct sunlight.

*Cost of shipping includes materials. Everything is mailed USPS ground unless you ask for a different shipping method.
